I truly believe that public participation is a vital part of public art. I feel
that most people want a way “in” to encounter the artwork.
My site-specific sculptures are often related to environmental setting
and community interests. This approach allows and encourages people to
access the work on a personal level, to make a unique connection with the
form, the materials, find a mirror for some part of them selves, connect
with the setting, or find some meaning in the symbolism.
